AI examples and limitations

Last updated: 18 September 2026.

How to read the AI examples

The payroll coordinator, finance analyst, forensic investigator and tax assistant examples show possible applications for accounting, tax and financial-advisory work. Their written explanations and animated scenes illustrate how work could be prepared for professional review. They are not completed client projects, live services or evidence of measured results.

People, messages, documents, figures and outputs shown in the demonstrations are fictional. An animation showing a corrected input or a prepared document does not establish real-world accuracy or suitability for your firm. Animation timing is a presentation choice, not a claim about how quickly an application would complete the work.

Your team's professional judgement matters

IntelligentBalance designs and builds software. The examples do not provide accounting, tax, legal, investment or regulated financial advice. The responsible professionals check the source information, calculations, assumptions and applicable rules before approving a pay run, relying on a forecast, finalising findings, deciding tax treatment or advising a client.

AI can omit information, invent facts, make calculation errors or reproduce bias. Outputs may also be out of date. A real application needs appropriate human review and approval, especially before filing information, authorising payments or using an output that could affect a person's finances, rights or obligations.

Agreeing a real application

A project needs its own written scope, representative tests, acceptance criteria and arrangements for human approval. We will discuss what data the system may use, who checks results and which actions must remain under human control. Do not send confidential client records, passwords or sensitive personal information through the website enquiry form.

Results depend on the workflow, data quality, integrations, staff use and ongoing oversight. We do not promise a particular saving, level of accuracy, revenue increase or regulatory outcome from the examples. Fees, deliverables and responsibilities for paid work are set out in your agreement and our service terms.

These explanations do not remove our obligation to provide agreed services with reasonable care and skill, or limit rights or liabilities that the law does not allow us to exclude.

Third-party names and relationships

Third-party product names identify technologies; mentioning them does not itself mean their providers endorse IntelligentBalance. Any paid promotion or affiliate relationship will be identified where it appears.
